Our family is one of those, who never broke the winemaking tradition and kept it through many generations!
Our ancestral winemaking dates back to the beginning of the 19th century. Information about Mikha Khakhutashvili and his son Giorgi Khakhutashvili, known as "Kalakela," was preserved in Chenti. They were involved in winemaking and Chacha distilleries. Giorgi Khakhutashvili, a successful winemaker, died at the age of 33, leaving behind three sons: Shota, Elguja, and Temuri. We belong to Elguja's branch, and all three brothers have been engaged in viticulture and winemaking since childhood. Elguja, during his early years, managed the vineyard farm in Gremi area. This venture also laid the foundation for our cellar and guest house, which we are continuously expanding and improving.
